Professional Experience

• March 2008- present: Assistant Research Scientist and Lecturer at UCSD, San Diego, CA 92093, USA.
  Responsibilities include teaching the senior undergrad and graduate level course on DATA NETWORKS II (ECE 158B), research on next generation wireless systems, and leading the newly formed CalIT2 Systems and Networks research group in addition to leading the networking group for the NSF-sponsored homeland security projects such as RESCUE (www.itr-rescue.org), Responsphere (www.responsphere.org), and the exploratory research project CogNet (www.cognet.info).

• February 2005- February 2008: Lecturer and Post Doctoral Scholar at UCSD, San Diego, CA 92093, USA.

Mentored several batches of undergraduate and graduate students for courses such as ECE 191, ECE 192, and ECE 291 in the UCSD Division of CalIT2.

  Responsibilities include research in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks.

• January 2000-January 2004: Infosys Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India.
  Responsibilities include research in wireless ad hoc networks and hybrid wireless networks.

• March 1998-January 2000: Senior Engineer at Banyan Networks Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, India.
  Responsibilities include design and implementation of real-time protocols for voice over data networks.
